Aslam Wilson Obituary

Aslam Christopher “Oz” Wilson, age 41, passed away June 29, 2024. He was born in India on January 19, 1983 and due to a tragic death of his parents he was adopted at the young age of 9 to a couple from California. Shortly after he was sent to the Bethel home where he lived until the age of 18. He was a Husband, dad and pawpaw by choice, and a friend to many. He never met a stranger, lit up the room with his silly, magnetic personality by just seeing his smile, and would give the shirt off his back or his last dime to help someone in need. He worked hard as an Ironworker and strived to always improve, and recently received many certifications. His love for animals was out of this world. Always bringing home new animals. The Oz that we all love, was tragically taken from everyone that loved him, and he succumbed to his injuries in Memphis, Tennessee.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Latosha D. Wilson; children, Brayden Martinez, Isabella Martinez, and Jarissa “Bugger Butt” Martinez; grandchildren, Mason, Auburn, and Knox; Madison Hasha, whom he loved like a daughter; parents-in-law, Gordon and Patricia Butler; sister-in-law, Lacy (Roger) Zavala; brother-in-law, Ethan Butler; nieces and nephews, Jada Rascon, Jared Rascon, Trevor Zavala, and Jenna Luquette; numerous other relatives and close friends.

The Visitation will be Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Ricky Tanner officiating. Burial will follow in Butler Family Cemetery. Pallbearers include Brayden Martinez, Zyon Williams, Kristin Williams, Red Man “Byron” Williams, Walter Maples, Andy Lee, Joseph Rouse, and Terry Hamilton. Honorary Pallbearers include Gordon Butler, Jared Rascon, Devin Stevens, and Damen Stevens.

The family would like to extend a sincere Thank You to all his co-workers and friends with the State Group and the Ironworkers Union 798 who have shown their support during this difficult time.
