On Tuesday, March 25, 2025, Arlin Emmanuel Busby passed from this life at home with his children, Arlin and Tiffany, by his side. Emmanual was born on November 5, 1960. He was a lifelong resident of Greene County, a 1978 graduate of Leakesville High School, and worked at West Body Shop and Ingalls Shipbuilding. He enjoyed supporting Greene County High School sports and band programs, Auburn University sports, and watching his daughter, Tiffany, perform with the Ole Miss marching band. He followed Ford Motorsports in NASCAR, and in over 50 years, he only missed one race at Talladega when they locked the gates during the Pandemic. He especially enjoyed going to races with his son, Arlin, and a host of friends and family. His family was the most important part of his life. He was a devoted son, husband, father, and grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shannon Pope Busby; as well as his parents, Arlin Busby and Juanita Busby.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Arlin Busby, Tiffany Busby, and Shelby Pope; step-children, Christy O’Neal, Kenneth Page, Selina Smith, and David Page; sister, Lenethia Busby (Don) West; nephews, Kevin West and Brad West; and many grandchildren, cousins, family members, and chosen family.
The Visitation will be Friday, March 28, 2025 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home, Leakesville. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro.
