Alton Kelley

Alton Samuel Kelley, Sr., age 82, passed away June 17, 2021. He graduated from Greene County High School in 1958. He then went to work for Ingalls Shipbuilding as a Machinist and worked there for 40 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #1133. His greatest time was spent with his family. He enjoyed sharing his love for the outdoors with his children, grandchildren and other family members hunting and fishing. He was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather.            

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Raymond and Olivette Cambell Kelley.  

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Ladoria Smith Kelley; children, Tammy Rochelle Kelley and Alton S. “Sam” (Beth) Kelley, II; grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Kelley, Alton S. “Tres” Kelley, III and Katherine Nicole Kelley; siblings, Russell Raymond Kelley, Odessa Faye Brown and John Darrell (Pat) Kelley; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.     

The Visitation for Alton Kelley will be Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Moments Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. The Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel beginning at 12:00 PM with Bro. John Lofton officiating. Burial will follow in Canaan Missionary Baptist Church cemetery.
