Alma Pearl Strickland, age 73, passed away December 14, 2020. She was a 1965 Graduate of Sandhill High School. She worked as a seamstress at various sewing factories most of her life. She greatly enjoyed working in the garden and growing flowers. Her greatest joy was spoiling her family and especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Avera Church of God, a loving wife, mother, sister and Mawmaw. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her sons, George Darren Strickland and Dan Mitchell Strickland; parents, Ennis and Myrtle Dunnam; siblings, Mary Elizabeth, Van Owen, Marvin Ennis, Thomas Wayne, Adrew “Dude” Dunnam and Charles Edmond.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, George Strickland; daughters, Melissa Kay Guy and Darla Bice; grandchildren, Daulton McDonald, Jonathon McDonald, Anna Marie McDonald and Darren Anthony Bice; great grandchild, Westyn Kash McDonald; sisters, Carolyn Faye Raybond, Edna Merle Toms and Elsie Mae Cowart; numerous other relatives and friends.
The Visitation for Alma Pearl Strickland will be Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home Leakesville. The Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel beginning at 12:00 PM with Bro. James Bice officiating. Burial will follow in Mutual Rights Church Cemetery.
