Raymond David West

Raymond David West, age 81, passed away October 5, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge and proudly served as a Shriner. He loved his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.              

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Tressie West; brothers, Leeman West and Gene West; sister, Eileen Motes.     

Those left to cherish his memory include loving wife, Janita West; children, Guy West, Christina (Michael) Young, Jimmy (Veleda) West, Carl (Denice) West, Christina Mai; sisters, Pauline (Leslie) Williams, Winnie Faye (David) Holland and Mona Roberts; 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, numerous other relatives and dear friends.          

The Visitation for Raymond West will be Tuesday, October 8, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow beginning at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. John Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Journey Cemetery with military honors. Pallbearers include Michael West, Joshua West, Jacob West, Michael Young, Jr., Christian Hyde, Michael Young, Sr., Thomas Almond and Eric Dunkley.
