James Danny Hataway

James Danny Hataway, age 72, passed away April 23, 2019 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was a 1965 graduate of George County High School and a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church. Danny was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. He will be greatly missed.           

He is preceded in death by his parents, B.R. and Lillie Knight Hataway; brothers, Ben Hataway and Larry Hataway.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 51 years, Mary Darlene Stringer Hataway; daughter, Makenzie (Michael) Cooley; sons, Jason (Gina) Hataway, Jody (Zan) Hataway and Jamie (Kimberly) Hataway; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters, Voncille Lamb and Vera Nell (Donald) Catlett; numerous other relatives and friends.

The Visitation for Mr. James Danny Hataway will be Friday, April 26, 2019 at Moments Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Brian Havens officiating. Burial will follow at Union Missionary church cemetery. Pallbearers include Jason Hataway, Josh Drinkard, Jamie Hataway, Michael Cooley, Jody Hataway and XL Lundy. Honorary Pallbearers will be Milton Driskell and Robert Westfaul.
