Charles McClure, age 80, passed away August 22, 2019. He was a retired Iron Worker with the Local 798, Mobile, Alabama. He served as a pastor at Red Creek Missionary Baptist Church in the Agricola, Mississippi community for many years. He had many various hobbies and activities, including a truck driver, member of the local Masonic Lodge #430 and a Shriner. But his most favorite past time was working for the Lord. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his grandchildren, Ford McClure, Logan McClure and Blake McClure; parents, William and Daisy McClure; siblings, Jesse Cook, Otis McClure, Maborn McClure, Annie Jane Elder, Bessie Lynn, Lillie Frazier, Earlene Hembree, Rose Welford and Jimmy McClure.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 60 years, Shirley Barnett McClure; daughter, Debbie (Ronald) Hembree; sons, Scottie (Cindy) McClure, William Macklin “Bill” (Carmela) McClure and Samuel “Sam” (Amy) McClure; grandchildren, Shelly (Duane) Stringer, Keith (Brandy) Hembree, Marie (Doug) Allgood, Amanda (Michael) Lewis, Luke McClure, Jacob McClure, Kolby McClure and Drake McClure; great grandchildren, Kase Allgood, Mason Christopher, Chase Allgood, Adison Christopher, Kadyn Hembree, Alivia Stringer, Bransyn Hembree, Westin Allgood, Amberly McClure and Klayton Lewis; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Visitation for Mr. Charles McClure will be Monday, August 26, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 beginning at 11:30 AM at Red Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Sam McClure and Bro. Alton Stokes officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Creek Missionary Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers include Keith Hembree, Jacob McClure, Kolby McClure, Drake McClure, Luke McClure and Doug Allgood. Honorary Pallbearers include Duane Stringer, Michael Lewis, James McClure, Lemuel Hembree, and Jimmy Brooks.
